New Work Weekend

This weekend I’ll spend Saturday with the Emerging Writer’s Group at The Public Theater, directing new pieces by some truly fantastic, exciting, boundary-testing playwrights.  So psyched. And, Sunday will spent with Trinity Church in Lower Manhattan; I’ll be staging the winning play of the 2011 Trinity Playwrights Competition – starring Francesca Choy-Kee and Lee Rosen.

Women’s Project Annual Meeting

The Women’s Project Lab is off to a great start!  We just completed our first project together – making pieces for the Annual Meeting.  I was thrilled to work with uber-talented playwright Dipika Guha and producer Deadria Harrington.  We created a piece based on Joan Schenkar’s 1978 play SIGNS OF LIFE, which starred Kathleen Chalfant.
